MIPI is committed to environmental protection, health care and occupational safety. By taking care of used packaging, MIPI helps fillers of industrial packaging to comply with environmental legislation worldwide and meet the objectives stated by the international responsible care initiative. The MIPI IBC COLLECT SERVICE is a program allowing packaging to be reused, or –if necessary- recycled for a new purpose in the secondary market.
Free* Pickup
MIPI provides a free* pick up of empty IBCs in most industrial zones on the globe if certain basic requirements are fulfilled. These include that the package is empty and free of severe damage or hazards. In some areas a free collection program cannot be offered. However, MIPI will support arrangements with local partner companies to provide appropriate service in these regions.

Procedure
Each IBC produced by MAUSER or one of its licensees carries a return service label with contact information. Beside a set of telephone numbers the emptier will find a web and email address where he or she will be provided with a pickup request form.
This form needs to be filled out and faxed back to the call centre. Containers that meet collection requirements are then collected at service levels set out in the terms and conditions for that particular country; normally free of charge. Charges may occur if containers are not suitable for reuse or remanufacturing or in the case of severe contamination or heel.
