MAUSER Group appoints new Chief Financial Officer
Brühl, 02 November 2009 - Effective 1 January 2010, Winfried Klar joins the management team of the MAUSER Holding GmbH as chief financial officer. In his position as CFO, he will be responsible for the global finance function of the MAUSER Group worldwide.

MAUSER Group enters the Russian Market with state-of-the-art Steel Drum Factory
In line with the corporate strategy to be active in all important growth markets, the MAUSER Group is extending its reach into Eastern Europe. A new steel drum factory will supply the oil and chemical industries in Russia with high-quality MAUSER products and services. Construction works at the plant in Ryazan near Moscow are now almost completed and production start-up is scheduled for mid-October.

Unlimited BAM registration: MAUSER IBCs have passed the new vibration test
The MAUSER group, leading global supplier of plastic packaging, is one of the first in the industry to comply with the new EU regulations for transport safety. In its test certificate of 13 August 2009, the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) confirms that all MAUSER production sites in Europe have passed the required vibration test. Inauguration of the MAUSER Tube Center in Erkelenz
MAUSER is setting the course for the future with a new European tube center. The site integrates profile production into the corporate value chain as an additional in-house production step. Effective immediately, the tube center in Erkelenz/Germany will supply profiles to MAUSER IBC production sites throughout Europe. The new plant was officially opened on March 26, 2009.

ISO 14001 Certification for European MAUSER Sites
Brühl, February 2009. MAUSER in Europe has successfully completed the process of its environmental management audit and received ISO 14001:2004 certification for all European sites in December 2008. The certificate was issued by TÜV Süd, one of the world’s leading facilitators of the ISO certification. Compliance with ISO 14001 standards is part of the MAUSER ECO-CYCLE strategy for environmental commitment throughout the entire life-cycle of its products.

MAUSER and REYDE to start IBC Joint Venture
Brühl, 29 January 2009. The MAUSER group, a leading producer of industrial packaging, has announced today that it will enter into a 50:50 joint venture with REYDE S.A., a member of the Spanish ARMANDO ALVAREZ group. By concluding this strategic alliance for the production and sale of IBCs in Spain, MAUSER will further extend its European reach. The newly established, Tarragona-based IBC company will operate under the name of MAUSER REYDE IBÉRICA S.L.
