Engineering Intern/Co-op - Easton, PA

Main Position Responsibilities:

  • Convert paper drawings into electronic format (AutoCAD or Solid Works) when provided with existing drawings and formatted drawing layouts and the software.
  • Develop detailed design drawings, specifications, and process flow for mechanical equipment and controls, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment, Solid Works.
  • Assemble drafts or technical procedures into finished documents when given a document format and the raw information (Documenting Changeover processes, creating standard work documents).
  • Lay out and draw schematics to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and machines.
  • Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems.
  • Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
  • Update existing hand or CAD drawings
  • Reverse engineer some machinery

Key Attributes

  • Knowledge/experience with AutoCAD and/or Solid Works platforms
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, drawings, and models
