MAUSER announces start-up of IBC production in Turkey

MAUSER Group, a worldwide leading company in industrial packaging based in Bruehl, Germany, announces the opening of MAUSER Turkey IBC in Gebze/Kocaeli. Adjacent to MAUSER’s steel and plastic drum facility, the new site provides customers a more convenient MAUSER location in Southern and Eastern Europe as well as in the Middle East to source high quality Composite Intermediate Bulk Containers.

MAUSER Group continues to expand its presence as a worldwide leader in industrial packaging through a recent expansion in Turkey. MAUSER Ambalaj is capable of supplying customers with UN certified 1000 liter IBCs for industrial liquids and ingredients. In addition, MAUSER can also provide customers with reconditioned IBCs as either “washed” or “rebottled” units and IBC laundry service through its National Container Group (NCG) organization.

“After the successful addition of plastic drum production in recent years and the continuous success of steel drums, the investment in a new IBC production line was the next logical step to serve our customers in the region even better,” said Ali Özbudak, General Manager of MAUSER Turkey. Well placed in the fast growing Istanbul region and offering the most comprehensive industrial packaging range, MAUSER lives up to its vision of growing globally with their customers. “The recent investments in fast developing markets reflect our commitment to foster the relationship with our customers and to offer a production footprint based on the market needs,” explains Dr. Jürgen Scherer, Head of the MAUSER SBU Europe.

Following the seamless installation of the IBC production line, first deliveries were shipped to customers in January. MAUSER Ambalaj is offering the entire range of the well-established SM® IBC product family which consists of the SM 6 wooden pallet IBC, the SM 13 composite pallet IBC and the full plastic pallet SM 15 IBC. Various customizing options like 3” valves, 225 mm lids or black color IBC inner bottles are available. “Differing from the majority of the regional market and based on MAUSER’s highest global quality standards, we are able to offer our IBCs with UN certification issued by the German Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing BAM,” outlines Gönül Olcay, Head of Sales, MAUSER Turkey.
